They reportedly met in London and last December according to Yeni they signified their intension to become husband and wife.  ” Last December, they came together came to Nigeria together, she introduced her to the family and he came to ask for her in marriage. She is very happy that she has found someone that she loves and loves him too.’

An excited Yeni Kuti popularly refered to as "YK Power" spoke to The Society Nigeria on Wednesday May 13, 2015. "It is their Traditional Marriage and it will hold on June 27, 2015, at the Afrikan Shrine, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. The white wedding will take place in August, 2015 in England because Ben's parents are based there."

On why she consented to leaving her only child to marrying a man from Australia, Yeni said: “What can I  do? I have to respect her choice.  I have to support her, I am not a racist, it is her choice and all we can do is to encourage her and wish her well. I am eager to see my grandchild, but they have told me my grandchild is not coming immediately, they told me they will start  having  babies three years after the wedding. But they promised to come home every Summer.”

Rolari is a product of the  marriage between Yeni Kuti and the late Femi Segun, son of famous writer, Mabel Segun. Femi died in a motorbike accident in March 21, 2014. Rolari’s late father’s younger brother is expected as the  Father of the Bride at the wedding strictly for invited guests.
