LADI AKINDELE'S EX PAL, ABDUL ADEWALE KEKERE EKUN ARRESTED BY EFCC. FACES EXTRADITION TO THE UK FOR MURDER

A Lagos socialite, Abdul Adewale Kekere Ekun wanted by the UK government for murder related offence has being arrested in Lagos and will now be extradited to face the criminal charges levelled against him.

The development came about according to a press release from EFCC Head, Media and Publicity Wilson Uwujaren, as Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, on Monday March 9, 2015 approved the extradition of Abdul Adewale Kekere-Ekun, to the United Kingdom where he is wanted for murder related offences. Justice A. R Mohammed gave the nod for Mr. Kekere- Ekun’s extradition after his lawyers dropped their objection to the extradition request brought by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, in the face of compelling argument.

Mr. Kekere-Ekun is to be extradited after fifteen days from the date of the ruling. He is wanted by the UK government for the murder of one Marcus Hall, an 18-year-old who was beaten and stabbed to death 14 years ago following a fight outside a night club in Luton, England. The rest of the culprits have been prosecuted and jailed in the UK, but Mr. Kekere-Ekun has been on the run.

The UK Police reportedly had difficulties tracking him down because he frequently disguises himself with fake names (Adebayo Dalvin James Ekun, Adeba Yo Kekere-Ekun, Adeba Yo Muta Lito Kekere-Ekun, James Dalvin, James Adebayo, Dave Bell, David Aaro Hall, Anthony Higgins, Lavelle Holder, Dalrin James, Dalvin James and Gary Edwin Plummer)

The suspect was picked up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Lagos on February 12, 2015 with the support of the National Crime Agency. He was picked up for identity theft related offences only for checks by the agency to reveal that he is on the wanted list of the UK Police.


Abdul Adewale Kekere Ekun from the popular Kekere Ekun's family in Lagos was once a close pal of defunct Chrome Night Club owner and billionaire son Ladi Akindele. He was one of the underground hand in the operations of the club before it packed up after a fierce row between the face of the club Ladi Akindele and money man Charles Ahize.
