The statement said, "Contrary to media report that former military president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has been flown abroad for treatment, a source close to the Minna Hilltop mansion said IBB only went to Germany for routine medical check-up.
According to the source, IBB’s current trip to Germany was a normal appointment with his doctor which was fixed a long time ago. The former military president had left the country for Germany in the company of his daughter, Halima Babangida, on Saturday morning at about 10am. Recall the former military leader returned from Germany last year November 2014 after two months of treatment following a knee surgery.
