New Lagos Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has appointed the son of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, as his Aide-De-Camp (ADC). The new ADC whose name is Olumide Raheem, is a deputy superintendent of police. The individual is one of the sons of Oba Akinolu. He is the first son of Olori Titi Akiolu, who is the last wife of Oba Akiolu. DSP Raheem was a former divisional crime officer of Bode Thomas police station. He attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania in United States of America and read computer information system. He later proceeded to Northumbia University to read sociology in United States. He has since assumed duty.
However just as this appointment was concluded the new governor is said to have compiled fresh lists of those to be sacked from Lagos state service, most of them are identified as Ex Governor Fashola loyalists. Recall last week Lagos Tax Man Tunde Fowler abruptly resigned from his position as LIRS boss after a disagreement with the governor
Also Governor Ambode spent his first day in office removing those perceived as Fashola loyalists, he wielded the big stick and one of the victims was Ms Ronke Azeez, coordinator of Lagos Eko Project
Mr. Gbenga Akintola, Chairman of Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) is another loyalist of Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola that the governor sent packing from LSPWC. Source revealed that his emergence as the Chairman of LSPWC was facilitated by his closeness to Prof. Wole Soyinka and Demola Azeez (Raji Fashola’s best friend). Indeed, we reliably gathered that after Gov. Ambode has asked Gbenga Akintola to handover to the next person to him at LSPWC, he eventually walked him out of the meeting.
Another of Fashola's loyalist who also left the Ambode government was Ms Yinka Fashola younger sister to the former governor, she was the boss of Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA). The governor simply instructed her to handover everything in her care as General Manager to the next person to her in the agency.
