CONTROVERSY IN BAUCHI AS NEW GOVERNOR APPOINTS WIFE AND YOUNGER SISTER IN KEY POSITIONS

New Bauchi state governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar is starting off the administration of the state on a controversial note. He is said to have appointed his wife and younger sister into choice positions in his newly formed cabinet.

Information has it that the governor have concluded arrangement to announce the appointment of his wife (Hajiya Hadiza Katsina) as Commissioner of Finance and his junior sister who is currently a director in Abuja to head Primary Education Board (SUPEB).

The Governor based his move on the fact that his wife, who once worked as a CBN staff for decades, possess all the needed financial knowledge to head the ministry. In another development, due to the high number of candidates eyeing the position of SSG, plan is also at the top gear to appoint his Deputy as ACTING SSG.

Meanwhile the party stalwarts and stakeholders has reportedly kicked against the move and said the administration is not a friends and family affair.
