Rivers State has
received the hosting rights of the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards. This year's edition has been
slated to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 4 October, 2014. According to Seun
Oloketuyi, the Executive Producer of the award,
''We
chose Port Harcourt for several reasons; Port Harcourt is one of the most
beautiful cities in Africa. Also, the state has produced some of the best brains
in Nollywood and Gov Amaechi has also provided an enabling environment for
tourism and for Nollywood to flourish"
In
his word, Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi said; '' It is a great honour
to have this prestigious award platform in Port harcourt a year after hosting the nominees
dinner''.
The
2014 edition of BON Award will hold on Saturday, 4 October, and it is expected
to be Nollywood's most glamorous event. Since the award debuted six years ago,
it has become the most prestigious and most transparent award ceremony for
all practitioners in Nollywood
