Nigerian soccer fans are not happy with the low profile football jersey unveiled as the one to be used by the national team at the World Cup in Brazil this year. Most soccer loving Nigerians who took to the social media shortly after the jersey was presented to the public rubbished the products made by Adidas as of low quality and lack the colour and brightness expected of a football jersey of a great nation as Nigeria.

The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) on Thursday in Abuja unveiled the new sets of jerseys for the Super Eagles, ahead of the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup. The  jerseys came in three sets of Green and lemon, white, lemon and green, as well as orange and black, for the goalkeepers.
The NFA Chairman, Aminu Maigari, said the Football House chose the new colours to strike a balance between the present and future national teams, especially the Super Eagles.

Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeleye, said that the newly unveiled jersey was a deliberate attempt to rebrand the Super Eagles. The Chairman, House Committee on Sports, Mr Ali Gaiya, who also spoke at the occasion applauded the efforts of the Nigeria Football Federation. The newly unveiled jerseys were later presented to the representatives of President Goodluck Jonathan and the Senate President, David Mark.
The Super Eagles are to wear the newly launched jersey at the forthcoming international friendly against Mexico in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
