The reality of hard times ravaging World economies is beginning to take it's toll on some Nigerian companies. Billionaire Mike Adenuga's Globacom is afterall not immuned from the current cash crunch hitting Nigerian companies, recall President Muhammadu Buhari just bailed out some state from unpaid salaries with over N747billion.

 

Information sourced from an online news site SaharaWeekly has it that for the past few months now, things have not really been working in favour of one of the wealthiest Nigeria billionaire, Mike Adenuga. Guarded tales has it that Globacom Company staff has been lamenting lately over unpaid four months salaries that the company owes them.

 

It was also gathered that, the salary of this month of July is not even certain not to talk of receiving the previous month salary. The Public Relation Department in the company has been working day and night to keep the development away from the media because of the integrity of the company. Many Contractors of the company are also owe money running into billions but have decided to keep faith with the telecoms company pending when things will keep shape.

 

Aside that, we also scooped that, the company is owing many television and radio commercial advert including the Print medium running into several millions  and whenever they asked, the company comes up with different excuses without a specific date of payment. This we gathered has been affecting both the staff and the advertising agency that are in charge of the affair of the company.

In fact, we also gathered that the corporate affair Department have struggled to manage the situation to make it internal affair but some of the contractor have started threatened to go public.

 

In another development some of their staffs have started lamenting about the company's poor management of their affairs, we learnt the company for the past years have refused to promote staffs who are due for promotion. This is not going down well with some of the staffs who are contemplating to resign and move on with their lives
