MAUFECHI BOSS, MAUREEN ONIGBANJO REMAIN INCONSOLABLE AS DECEASED HUSBAND,
WALE ONIGBANJO WAS BURIED IN LAGOS
The Lagos
high society assembled on Friday July 24, 2015 when Wale Onigbanjo, the
deceased husband of Maufechi boss, Maureen Onigbanjo was buried. Mr. Olawale
Latif Onigbanjo who passed away on July 8 2105 was buried yesterday at the
Vaults and Gardens Ikoyi Lagos. The funeral for the 57-year-old businessman kicked
off on Thursday July 23, 2015 with a Christian wake at the Anglican Church of
the Ascension, Omodara Street, Opebi,Ikeja, Lagos. The funeral service held at
the same venue before he was committed to mother earth.
Mr. Olawale Onigbanjo
is survived by his wife Maureen, three children Olawale Jnr., Morenike, and
Babafemi, and two brothers Olajide and Akinola.Olawale Latif Adedeji popularly known as “Onix” was born in 1959 in Chelsea London into the family of late Kehinde Mudasiru Onigbanjo of Lagos and late Olapeju Onigbanjo (nee Obafemi) of Ikorodu. Olawale started his primary education at the prestigious St. Marys Catholic School, Lagos and later attended St. Finbarrs College, Akoka, Lagos for his secondary education. He then went to Bradford College in the U.K where he studied Building Engineering.
After his education in the UK, he returned to Nigeria in 1984 for his NYSC at Julius Berger Limited. He then left after a short stint to work with Lagos State Property & Development Corporation, LSDPC for another two years. He eventually ventured into private business during which he got some supply contracts from companies like Cadbury Plc and construction contracts from private commissions.
In 1984, he met and married the love of his life, Maureen, whom he fondly called “Mo” or “Darling”. They went everywhere together and welcomed their first child Olawale Opeyemi Onigbanjo Jr. in 1988. His second child Morenike Ololade Onigbanjo in 1993 and the third child, Babafemi Oluwafeyisola Onigbanjo was born in 1997
