ONE WEEK AFTER, THE ABDUCTED OREKOYA KIDS RE-UNITE WITH THEIR PARENTS

The three Orekoya siblings, who were kidnapped by an housemaid recruited on OLX one week ago, have been found and returned to their parents. The children, Demola,6; Adedamola, 4, and Aderomola, 11 months reported to have been dumped last night, at a house in Akowonjo, Egbeda area in Lagos.

Detail of how they ended up being dumped at Egbeda is still sketchy, but a source learnt that the children have since been re-united with their parents. This was also confirmed by their mother, Adebisi Busayo Adekunle Orekoya, who posted the news of her chilpdren’s return on her Facebook page.

“We give God all the Glory. Our Orekoya missing Kids have been found.Thank you so much everyone for ur prayers and moral and Financial support all along. The list is endless, of awesome mothers, sisters, business partners, father’s and even kids too. You’ve been amazing! May God grant all your heart desires too. Much love always.” We couldn't however ascertain if any ransom was paid.

The Orekoya children were abducted by their househelp, one Mary Akinloye, 24 hours after she was employed by the family via OLX, an online sales portal, with an agreement of N10,000 to N15,000 monthly salary. Akinloye, who claimed to be 23 years old and hailed from Ibadan, Oyo State, according to the family, resumed work on March 7, when the former nanny did not show up after her annual leave.
