What is in a name that most divorced rich and successful ladies would still cling to their ex husband's name?Just recovering from a marriage scandal, Lagos Socialite, Uju Murphy falls in the category of women who still hang on to their husband's name even when she has since called it quit with him after having three children together.
The circumstance with which the fair skinned society lady fell apart with her husband, Murphy Uzohue is a known development to most people on the social scene. Infidelity and irreconciliable differences was alleged to be responsible for their marriage collapse.
But now Uju is back as a politician, she was registered by INEC as Obianuju Murphy-Uzohe, she is the Vice Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) a party that is parading Mani Ahmad as its main candidate for the forthcoming presidential election in February, 2015.
Some are of the opinion that in a society where unmarried women are scorned and are not respected, she wouldn't want to drop her husband's name so as to be portrayed as still been married and that is needed as a politician at least for now.
