EBOLA SCARE HITS BANKS, EATERIES, CHURCHES IN LAGOS

The fear of Ebola now seems to be the beginning of wisdom as Nigerians are now doing all within their capacity to avoid being infected. Since the Liberian Patrick Sawyer died of the virus weeks back apprehension have been the order of the day as news of more victims fly around.

Check around town indicated that some staffs of some new generation banks now use handgloves while attending to customers, the same development was noticed days back at the popular eatery Tastee Fried Chicken. Only last weekend churches in Lagos banned the use of handshakes and hugs among Christian faithfuls. Communion will now be served with individual cups rather than the previous system of using just one cup for multitudes of congregation. Public places now adopt the use of sterilizers while the government is going on with campaign to sensitize the populace on how to avoid been infected.

Four people have died of the virus in Lagos, the first being Patrick Sawyer the Liberian who was in Nigeria for an ECOWAS function other three are those who had contact with Mr Sawyer.
