FANS DIFFER OVER TIWA SAVAGE POLICE ASSAULT

Teeming admirers of Mavin records act Tiwa Savage have being expressing divergent views over her arrest on saturday February 15, 2014 near Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island Lagos for violating traffic rules. Most of her fans who took to the social media few hours after the public altercation lamphooned the Nigerian Police for been too uncivilized in their handling of matters that concern the people, however there are some who believe Tiwa went too far in humiliating the officer concerned.

'If she was in the UK, she would willingly have obeyed traffic regulations. Why do Nigerians willingly break laws of their own country and obey laws of other countries?', a fan observed.

'Do UK Police act like their Nigerian peers? U believe Nigerian Police, Next they will say she slapped them', another fan countered.

Tiwa Savage was arrested by the police for allegedly humiliating an officer who apprehended her for violating some provisions of the Lagos State Road Traffic Law, she was said to have argued with the policeman, who flagged her down for flouting traffic rules in front of Eko Hotels and Suites Victoria Island, Lagos. Savage, who was recently signed a brand ambassador deal with Forte Oil, allegedly came down from the vehicle and confronted the policeman. During the ensuing argument with the cop, Savage, who was said to have been infuriated by the development, allegedly removed the cap of the policeman, she was reportedly whisked away to the Victoria Island Police Division and was released later after she apologised for the wrong doing.
