NED NWOKO'S SON FOUND DEAD IN UK

Lawyer cum politician, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is bereaved. He has lost his first son Tarik, aged 22. The  former federal lawmaker who is one of the prominent political leaders in Delta State said he received the shocking news of the death of his son in Idumuje Ugboko where he was monitoring the titanic governorship primary election of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State.

A statement issued by Prince Nwoko said “Tarik was a law student at North Staffordshire University where he died in his sleep in the early hours of Monday, December 8, 2014.”
Prince Nwoko said “Tarik had complained to his friend who he had dinner with on Sunday that he was feeling unwell only to be found dead on Monday morning”.

The deceased whose mother is from Morocco was a keen footballer. According to Prince Nwoko, “the London Police has ruled out any foul play. The Police authorities also ruled out drug and alcohol.” The Nation

UCHE JOMBO SAYS HER MISCARRIAGE HAPPENED SIX MONTHS AGO

For days now, it has been reported that Nollywood actress/producer, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez has lost her pregnancy. The rumour came when people were eagerly expecting her to delivert.

However, Mrs Rodriguez disclosed that what people are writing as breaking news now happened six months ago, confirming the report that she is no longer pregnant. She also hinted that such reports should stop as they make her feel bad all over again.

EX-MILITANT, TOMPOLO ACQUIRES SIX WARSHIPS

Ex Niger Delta militant, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, has just acquired seven decommissioned Norwegian battleships. Reports by a Norwegian newspaper, Dagbladet, said that the fast-speed Hauk-class guided missile boats had been re-armed with new weaponry.

The report also revealed that Ekpemupolo’s most recent purchase is a KNM Horten, a fast-attack craft now used in fighting piracy in Nigeria’s waterways. It was learnt that in spite of his alleged history of violence, Tompolo, now controls the Global West Vessel Service, a privately owned contractor for maritime security for the Nigerian Maritime Safety Agency.

Buying arms from Norway requires an export license from Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ships were reportedly sold first to CAS Global, a British security company that has such a license, after which Ekpemupolo reportedly bought the ships from the British company.

Dagblade reported that the seven Norwegian ships are now part of the company’s maritime fleet patrolling under a contract for the Federal Government.

BBA TAYO FANIRAN DENIES RECEIVING $350,000 FROM BILLIONAIRE AYIRI EMAMI

Big Brother Hotshot first runner up Tayo Faniran has denied receiving any financial compensation from Nigeriann billionaire Ayiri Emami. The report have been flying around in the last few days that
Tayo received a whooping USD350,000 from Ayiri Emani, as compensation for losing out on the Big Brother Hotshots grand prize of USD300,000 – which was won by Tanzania’s Idris 

According to the report, the Warri-based businessman is also fan of the much loved Tayo and had vowed to pay him much more than the slated $300,000 prize money in case he did not win.

However, speaking on Radio 1 South Africa, Tayo denied the claims, saying he is disturbed by the news that he got such amounts of money yet he doesn’t even know who the man is. According to him, people will see that and think he is rich while he is not.

Meanwhile, Akintayo may have lost out on the USD300,000 Big Brother Hotshots prize money to Tanzania’s Idris Sultan, the Nigerian model has finally met his son, Akintoye, almost two months after he was born. The model was united with baby Akintoye and his mother after he left the BBA house. 

DAYO BUSH TASTES DEFEAT....LOSES HOR TICKET

Hon. Dayo Alebiosu will not be returning to the National Assembly in Abuja for another term as an Honourable member. This is because he lost gallantly to former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs in Lagos, Hon Rotimi Agunsoye in the primaries conducted at the party's secretariat in Acme Ikeja Lagos.
This development is not coming as a surprise to those who know the politics playing itself out at Kosofe/Somolu Federal Constituency in the last few years, Hon Dayo Bush who represented the area in the Federal House of Representative for eight years was labelled as a non performing lawmaker. Whereas he is said to have been served the ticket on a platter of gold based on the goodwill of his father Otunba Alebiosu, but he misused the privilege by promoting bills that have nothing to do with the welfare of the people he represented.

THE WOMAN WHO TROUNCED APC MALE GUBER ASIRANTS IN TARABA STATE

Senator Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan is presently the only female guber candidate, she emerged the candidate the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba state. Alhassan, who currently serves as a senator in the 7th National Assembly representing Taraba North (Senatorial District), defeated three other male aspirants who contested the ticket with her. She polled a landslide vote of 2425, while the other aspirants, Ibrahim Tumba, Dr Julde S and Yusuf polling 18, 5, and 14 votes respectively.

 
 Al-Hassan was elected Senator for the Taraba North constituency of Taraba State, in the April 2011 Federal elections. She ran on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
A lawyer by training, Al-Hassan once served as Taraba State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice. She was appointed the Chief Registrar of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on 17 December 2003. After she retired from service she went into business.

She is the owner of the popular A-Class park and events management services situated in Abuja.

THE METAMORPHOSIS OF SHARP BAND ANESI....WHY THEY ARE THE TOAST OF THE HIGH SOCIETY

The name SHARP BAND ANESI rings loud on the Lagos social sphere, the band established in the mid/late 90's by some young teenagers as a tease and play music group metamorphosed into a professional musical band in year 2000.

The band had its first official assignment as a professional band touring the country with the then golden tones grab the mic singing contest. It was the main band and also the cover band to all the contestants. Since then the band has been performing in and outside the country, graced all the  biggest events of the high and mighty, shakers and movers of our land.  

Those who are conversant with club life back in the days of Pintoes, Jazzville and club Towers, know Sharp Band as a fun dispenser, they used to entertain fun seekers at these now rested fun spots. The band have been able to stand the test time as one band that has done cover for almost all nigerian (now and then) musicians. Sharpband has grown not just as band, but as an institution, that impacts positive music. Also, an employer of labour with a work strength of  25man workforce.(Drivers, stagehands, sound engineers, singers/musicians). Due to the bands strength and workforce, it has the capability of carrying out to hitch free events simultaneously.

The band considers its biggest break to be when they were invited and privileged to perform at the common wealth heads of state meeting in Abuja some years ago. Sharpband clients include, telecoms firms, leading event Planners, state govts, presidency. Sharp Band skillfully renders a cross section of music like hip hop, high-life, jazz, Rhythm, Blues, Reggae and tungba.

The band only recently performed at the presidents daughter s wedding. Senator Ita Giwas daughters wedding .Psquare wedding.  Sahara energy end of year partys. MTN, Airtel. Just to mention a few.
